The location of the hotel is excellent. It is a stone throw away from Arab St – a famous heritage area, not far away from Little India, and on the fringe of the Central Business District.
The Bugis MRT is within walking distance, making travelling around the country very easy. It also has easy access to Chinatown, Orchard Road, the Riverfront, the World Trade Center and more.
The Bugis MRT train station is within 5-minute walking distance, so you can go to most parts of Singapore with ease.
For visitors who need to stay near the Raffles Hospital, this is a good choice, as it is directly opposite the hospital.
It is a relatively cheap hotel Singapore. Be ready for crowds for budge tours, and be tolerant with the decor that needs some facelift. Otherwise, it is a reasonably good hotel. If you are taking you own tour of Singapore, you can obtain the Hippo Hop tickets in the lobby of the hotel, and take the tour bus right behind the hotel.
Getting what you need is not a problem. There are shops and eatery around.
Within the hotel there is a good Indian restaurant, which is said to be very good. The swimming pool at 4th floor and another one at rooftop is good for relaxing. There is also a fitness centre.
There has been complaints that the Internet in the room is expensive though. You may have to wait for the computers in the lobby for guest use with free internet. Otherwise, The Club Floor offers guestrooms with free Internet access and complimentary breakfast.
